Ding

Ding is an app for the community of people waiting for their delayed train. When their train is delayed on a specific station, they can open the app, choose their delayed train and do a Ding-challenge, depending on the time of their delay. For short delays, an Ding could be to  take a pictures of their shoes, for a longer Ding, people are asked to write train stories or love poems for fellow commuters.

Dings will live in the app for as long the specific delay lasts. When the delay is over, their Ding will be removed from the app. But. There’s also a feature where you can see other people’s Dings and vote whether it’s a Ding (good!) or Dang (bad). the more Dings a Ding gets, the more Ding-life you can earn, the longer your Ding stays in the app. The app is inspired by Martin from vertraa.gd.

The name
Ding comes from the ‘ding dong’ sound whenever there’s an announcement on the station about delays.
