Interactive review DocLab: Cue China

137 workers at the Apple factory had been seriously injured in 2011 by a toxic chemical used in making the signature slick glass screens of the iPhone, reported the New York Times.

Ant Hampton personalized the story of two of these poisoned Chinese fabric workers in Cue China. When taking part in Cue China you sit in the same position for 26 minutes. A piece of cake: factory workers sit like this all day without moving. You have to experience the documentary with another person as the face of the factory worker is projected on his – and your – face, while you listen to their stories.

Check out the interactive review of Hackastory reporters Nina Mulder and Alka Goos: “We easily forget these people when ordering stuff on the internet. With this documentary the factory workers literally get a face: an impressive story.”
