Get out of the red: pay what you want

The Guardian will likely come out of the red next financial year, and this is not solely due to cutting costs, reports The Economist.

The famed newspaper has been allowing its readers to contribute any given price (with one-off and recurring options), instead of following the lead of some other major newspapers who use paywalls on their websites.

As a result, their losses are steadily becoming less significant.
